Darina Yunova
High Heels, Mats, and Starting Over

Darina teaches High Heels dance and stretching. For four years she has been moving between European countries, starting over in each one. The discipline stays the same. So does the mat.
Over a thousand students have attended her classes.
Where do you teach, and what does the space look like?
"Dance classes take place in rented studios, always beautiful ones, with atmospheric lighting, high-quality sound, and mirrors. Each session has a fixed duration, starting with a warm-up and stretching before we move on to learning the choreography.
For stretching, I take the classes out of the studios and into nature, by the sea, in locations with beautiful views. We practice on mats using additional equipment."
What drew you to the way you move and teach?
"To me, sports are the foundation of life. Dance is a way of self-expression, an opportunity to stop being shy, express yourself, and live through different moments of life through music. Every choreography is a separate story.
Discipline is far more important to me than random bursts of motivation. It is exactly what helps me maintain consistency for years and keep my body healthy."
What does consistency look like for you?
"Moving means starting from scratch every single time. But two things always remain unchanged: my personal discipline and my desire to help girls fall in love with movement. Through sports and dance, I help them unlock their femininity, take care of themselves, and never be afraid to show who they are."
One thing you always have with you?
"For dancing, my heels, they are my primary work tool. For stretching, it is always my favorite mat from NOYA."
Do you organize events outside your regular classes?
"Apart from my classes, I am actively involved in visuals and events. Seeing aesthetics in everything around us and capturing it on camera is my passion. In 2025, I organized two coffee shop grand openings in Spain, each drawing a crowd of over 100 people, as well as three local parties featuring a live DJ. I love this process because it brings different and interesting people together."
